What types of events do you do?
Any event that would benefit from the presence of a great DJ, which includes (but not limited to) weddings, Sweet 16s, school dances, banquets, Quinceañeras, company events, birthday parties, etc. Please visit my Services page for details.

How much do you charge?
I am able to work with all budgets big and small. My rates vary depending on your services needs -- simple or elaborate? -- and may typically range anywhere from $400 to $1,000, with different packages available. Custom service rates will also vary and discounts are available for certain non-profit fundraisers.

The best way to determine a quote for your event is to have a free consultation over the phone by calling (213) 268-5081 or by sending me an email. Whatever service package you get, you can rest assured you will get your money's worth!

What types of payments do you accept?
I accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. Credit card payments are processed online via my secure payment portal.

I found another DJ whose rates are cheaper. Why should I choose you?
The entertainment is what people may remember the most from your event. Do you want a cheap DJ to handle that responsibility? Cheap DJs have a reputation for being flaky, musically clueless, and unprofessional, even rude. They are also known for having low budget equipment and will say almost anything to get your money.

With DJ Kase, you are paying for quality and experience -- things that matters the most.

You will be surprised at how many horror stories I constantly hear about those cheap DJs. The most common complaint is how the cheap DJ was clueless or did not even bother to show up at all! Not only is that unprofessional, but it also does damage to how DJs are perceived in general.  Professional DJs like myself keep the standards high and have many satisfied clients because of those high standards.

Is it cheaper if I just rent a system and play music off of my iPod?
Think again. Renting a DJ system can cost almost as much as hiring a DJ with their own system, and renting a system also means you have to do everything yourself, such as managing the playlists, watching the music and microphone volume levels, setting up and breaking down the equipment, with barely any time for yourself. When you are tired and worn out at the end of the night, the last thing you'd want to do is worry about breaking down an entire DJ system!

iPods cannot read a crowd, but a DJ can. This is important when having to change the music selection accordingly with the right mixing and fading skills. And is an iPod capable of serving as a professional MC?

Try getting quotes from rental shops around Los Angeles and you'll quickly realize that hiring a DJ with their own equipment is a much better value and less of a headache for you.

Let a pro handle everything while you and your guests enjoy the evening!

What comes included with your service?
The exact level of service features will vary on the service package you choose. However, all packages include an outstanding mix of music and professional service. Some packages may include customized accounts for the Client Area on my website (great for doing your event planning online), as well as elaborate services which may include event preparation, facilitation, and MC services, and upgraded sound and lighting. Please call (213) 268-5081 for a free consultation or drop me an email.

Are you insured? Can you supply proof of liability?
Yes, I have liability insurance to protect my business and clients. Many venues are also beginning to require proof of liability and will not allow your DJ to perform at their locations without proof of liability.

Will you be willing to play requests and discuss music ahead of time?
Yes. I am willing to listen to your suggestions, give you feedback and play any reasonable request from your desired song list. I also fully understand that you may not want certain songs played. Some form of communicaton will take place ahead of the event to ensure that we have an understanding for your music preference.

Do you use professional equipment? What's the difference between professional and non-professional equipment?
My equipment is professional-grade, well maintained, and is listed in my Equipment page.

Professional equipment sounds better, is more duarable, and can handle higher volume levels than non-professional equipment.

Although any peice of electronics is capable of failing, cheap DJ products have a very high failure rate and have an inferior sound quaility when compared to the good stuff I use.

Do you provide backup equipment at my event?
I use top notch equipment, therefore my experience with equipment failure is extremely rare. Nonetheless, the possibility of failure still exists as with any peice of electronics. I carry a backup mixer, speaker, microphone, lighting, headphones, and music (spare laptop) at no extra charge.

Do you know the proper etiquette for my type of party?
Absolutely. I hold very high standards for my service and that means that I will treat you and your guests with courtesy and respect, will not drink alcohol at your event, will be dressed appropriately, and will carry myself in a very professional manner.

I highly value my business code of ethics.

How much time do you allow for set-up?
I am punctual and I typically allow myself an hour and a half to three hours between arrival and setup completion, depending on the setup size you desire (the more elaborate system setups require more time to assemble). Depending on the service package you have chosen, I may also familiarize myself with the venue location ahead of the event, as well as set everything up prior to your guests' arrival.

Do you provide a written contract?
Yes. It is extremely important to have our booking and terms of service confirmed in writing.

Will you be suitably dressed for our occasion?
Yes, I typically wear formal attire. Different attire preference may be discussed with me ahead of time.
